Yes. You can import employee records via CSV upload. We provide a template with all required fields. Alternatively, our implementation team can assist with data migration from other HR systems for Enterprise customers.

OnTap currently supports statutory payroll compliance for Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa. Each jurisdiction includes the correct tax tables, statutory deduction rates, and compliance reports. We are continuously adding new countries.

OnTap automatically applies the correct PAYE tax bands and rates for each supported jurisdiction. The system is updated every time tax rates change — typically at the start of each tax year — so your calculations are always accurate without any manual updates required.

Yes. The Growth and Enterprise plans support multi-jurisdiction payroll, allowing you to process payroll for employees in different countries from a single platform. Each country's statutory requirements are handled separately and correctly.

OnTap generates payslips, payroll registers, statutory deduction reports, KRA P10 forms, NSSF contribution reports, NHIF/SHA reports, and bank payment files — all ready for filing or submission to your bank.

You can make adjustments directly in the payroll run before it is approved. For corrections to already-processed payroll, OnTap supports off-cycle adjustments that are reflected in the next payroll run with a clear audit trail.

Yes. OnTap (operated by Belfortech Ltd) is a registered Data Processor with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) under the Data Protection Act, 2019. Our full registration details are available upon request.

Our dedicated compliance team monitors regulatory changes across all supported jurisdictions. When regulations change — such as new NSSF rates or updated PAYE bands — we push updates to the platform before the changes take effect. You don't need to do anything manually.

OnTap generates all required statutory compliance reports including PAYE returns (P9, P10), NSSF contribution statements, NHIF/SHA contribution reports, HELB deduction reports, and multi-jurisdiction equivalents. All reports are formatted for direct submission to the relevant authorities.

Yes. OnTap integrates with KRA's iTax system. Payroll data is formatted for direct iTax upload, reducing manual data entry and the risk of errors in your monthly PAYE returns.

OnTap uses a per-employee-per-month pricing model. The Starter plan begins at KES 16,920/month for up to 20 employees. The Growth plan covers unlimited employees with additional features. Enterprise pricing is custom. Annual billing offers a discount compared to monthly billing.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. There are no penalties for changing plans.

Yes. Annual billing is offered at a discount compared to monthly billing — equivalent to approximately 2 months free per year. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout when you select annual billing.

We accept M-Pesa, Visa, Mastercard, and bank transfers. Enterprise customers can also pay via invoice. All payments are processed securely through our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.

OnTap uses AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Our infrastructure is hosted in ISO 27001-certified data centers with 99.9% uptime SLA. We undergo regular penetration testing.

Only your designated administrators and users can access your data. OnTap staff access customer data only where strictly required for support purposes, with full audit logging. We never sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

After cancellation, you have 90 days to export your data. We provide data export tools to download all employee records, payroll history, and documents. After 90 days, your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

Yes. You can export all your data at any time in standard formats (CSV, PDF, Excel). Go to Settings → Data Export in your dashboard. Enterprise customers can also request full database exports via their account manager.
